CHILDREN'S FUND “SPERANŢA” (“HOPE”) HAS LOST HOPE TO FIND PROTECTION IN MOLDOVA
Children's Fund “Speranţa” (“Hope”) has lost hope to defend its property rights in the fight against corrupt officials in the Republic of Moldova and is waiting for help from the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
As the Chairman Oleg Doling told "Infotag", the "fund was established over 20 years ago, but it seems that the Republic of Moldova’s government has privatized the right for the good deals and is trying to destroy Speranta, seizing its property".
"But, fortunately, our business is taken up for consideration by the ECHR", he said.
The Republican Children's Fund is trusted by many legal entities and individuals. It receives many requests to transmit and give its help to the people in need. About one of these fundraisers - distributing tons of halvah from one of the patrons, the agency "Infotag" have reported earlier.
As Oleg Dolinga has explained, the main source of income, allowing the fund to carry out its statutory activities – to assist the boarding and the secondary schools, to help children suffering from serious diseases, was the functioning of the capital’s karting.
"Only in the recent years, for various charities, the fund has sent more than 100 thousand lei. But the Buiucani police, in violation of existing laws, imposed arrest on karts. Previously, they have been arrested twice in order to clarify their origin and then returned. Now, the law enforcement agencies, for the third time, have seized them in order to find out their origin", says the chairman of the fund.
According to him, the police still hold the karts under arrest, despite the fact that the Appeals Chamber has recognized, on 9 April 2014, their actions as illegal and ordered them to return the cars to the owner.
"For 12 years of the karts existence, there have been thousands of Chisinau residents and Moldovan capital guests. There also have been conducted trainings and competitions. We have received many letters of appreciation. With the onset of spring warm days, the phone rings constantly. The citizens are interested and ask "when it will be opened?"", said the head of Speranta.
Oleg Dolinga is convinced that the essence of the conflict is not about the origin of the karts. First of all, a tasty morsel for some VIPs is the land owned by the fund on the metropolitan street Ghidighici, 3/3.
The Chairman affirms that many independent experts are surprised by the fact that in the dispute over the legality and the privatization of the land on the street Ghidighici which is located on the Ghidighici Street, the claimant is the metropolitan prosecutor's office who claims it in the name of the government of the Republic of Moldova. Though the government has nothing to do with the municipal property, and the Chisinau City Hall, on the contrary, is on the side of the Republican fund Speranta.

"There is a blatant raider attack, and in the Republic of Moldova is impossible to find support and protection in any of the government agencies. We do not exclude that the next step could be a falsification of the criminal case. In our case, the police, the prosecutors and the government are lawlessness. They are tied by a mutual responsibility. Is it really like this? If you want to get to the truth, you need to put up your tent and go on an indefinite hunger strike at the entrance of the administrative building of the Council of Europe?", wondered Oleg Dolinga, the chairman of the Children's Fund Speranta.
