Sing with a Star
Every child from the earliest childhood has a magical instrument – a voice. This is the most accessible instrument, the possession of which is constantly developing. Children like to sing and they sing willingly. Performing a song can help a child to develop positive relationship to everything that is beautiful, kind and can occasionally convince him stronger than when the information is got in another way. Singing brings only joy and positive emotions to a child. Doctors and psychologists confirm that: children who sing regularly have a better immune system; they are healthier and emotionally well-balanced than children who do not sing at all. Singing can improve the ability to concentrate, it can also improve memory and develop the talent to improvisation, and singing stimulates speech activity and has a positive effect when a child has some defects in speech.
Children like to perform in front of adults and show their musical talents to all those who desire. Little children can easily copy from famous pop singers, while holding something like a microphone in their hands. They have musical abilities which we do not even suspect and such children love to sing. In the past, young artists were sent to children’s homes and orphanages in order to organize patronage concerts and also to get the children acquainted with lovely music and songs. They came to the children's homes, orphanages and schools and organized concerts; they sang beautiful songs for the children. So why don’t we organize more cheerful and interesting concerts now? The idea to organize a children's charity program related to music, with songs came to us for a long time. Now it can be done with the help of karaoke - with a radio microphone system. In order to participate in our project, it is not necessary to crowd waiting in lines, or to send endless requests for participation or it is not needed to have useful contacts or connections. Children can get autographs of stars, take pictures with them, and get the first and unforgettable experience of performing in public. And who knows, maybe some of the children - the participants of this project will become a Star!
The Children's Fund «Speranţa» announces about the beginning of the project "Sing with a Star", which is primarily aimed to help children from children\s homes and orphanages, and also for those children who are don’t have the possibility to communicate with the world, full of beautiful things. Both children and adults love to sing karaoke. Children from children's homes and orphanages with their teachers and educators can participate in the project "Sing with a Star".
The aims and objectives of the project are:
organization of cultural activities for children from children's homes and orphanages, providing a real opportunity for the children to sing along with a pop star, have a live communication directly with professional and amateur singers and performers;
Familiarizing the younger generation with the aesthetic values, identification and comprehensive support for the most promising children;
Development of aesthetic and artistic taste, confidence of the children in themselves, the development of musical abilities: a musical ear, memory, sense of rhythm, the ability to perceive the melody from their memory;
Development of talents for improvisation, creating opportunities for self-expression of the child;
Providing the opportunity for the children who perform with karaoke to feel like a star, or a real artist;
Projects for Children - is a particular world and a special responsibility. In this situation, it is not possible to succeed without professional skills and fantasy. We really need help from specialists of many professions. Anybody can agree to work for money. The Fund "Speranţa" is looking for people - allies and like-minded persons, who could work on the project "Sing with a star" on voluntary bases. We Need help to buy a karaoke system with songs, microphones, which will remain at the disposal of the children in children's homes and orphanages as a gift. Children love to sing, dance and get prizes or presents. We invite sponsors and partners who could help to buy gifts and of course we cannot forget about the little things in organizing holidays for the children: different cakes, pies, sweets, balloons, photographing and videos for remembrance, congratulatory banners and many other things.
For the implementation of this project, we also want to invite professional artists and beginners to assist in the selection of karaoke songs which are full of optimism, happiness, joy, and kindness - especially for the program "Sing with a star." We are calling to unite the efforts of musicians, singers and performers who would gladly agree to take part in celebrating holidays at orphanages. The Karaoke program for the children can also include the most popular songs from cartoons and movies. One Important condition: the children should sing only what they themselves want, the children should sing as they can and how they feel. We are organizing not a contest, but a rejoicing holiday with songs. All children are different from one another, but children do not like when they are forced to do something else. It is impossible to make children love to sing, dance, paint, etc. You can only engage them in this activity, create interest in them and constantly maintain the interest. The uniqueness of the program is the possibility to involve children and teenagers to participate personally in singing the songs that do not require special training. All the songs need to be specially adapted to be sung by a specific target group. Every child who wishes to participate in this program will be awarded a CD with recorded songs and photos for remembrance. Information about the most promising participants and artists will be available at our website – so that more people could see and recognize the gifted children - our little stars.
In order to realize this project in practical life, each of us can make our own contribution. Any kind of participation, any help that comes to us will be announced at our site. We will also send letters with vote of thanks for your contribution in the implementation of this project. Of course, our program is designed for children, but even if You are a grown-up man and if you love children and like to sing, we invite you to join and sing together with the children. We create projects, giving a chance to children. The task of the Fund "Speranţa" – is to draw the attention of the public to the problem, and give a push.
